Among the alleged 'reptilians' in human form whom Icke declares rule the world, are members of the Rothschild family, George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton, Henry Kissinger, the Queen of England and Tony Blair.
His website davidicke.com receives an average of nearly 2 million visits per month (SimilarWeb data).
After a career as a football player and a BBC sports commentator, Icke briefly became a national spokesman for the Green Party in the late 1980s before declaring at a press conference in 1990 that he was 'the son of God'. He was expelled from the Green Party in 1994, accused of adopting "Nazi-inspired" theses.
Icke has promoted antisemitic theories on numerous occasions, starting with his first books, The Robots' Rebellion: The Story of the Spiritual Renaissance (1994) and The Truth Shall Set You Free (1995). He explicitly refers to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, the infamous forgery presenting a plan for Jewish world domination, and to Justin Bonaventure Pranaitis' anti-Jewish pamphlet, The Talmud Unmasked. Icke also claims that Jews financed the Holocaust and secretly controlled the Ku Klux Klan, the notorious American racist and antisemitic organization.
David Icke also relays all the major conspiracy theories known about the 9/11 terror attack, the Covid-19 pandemic, the "Illuminati", the "New World Order" and vaccination.
At the end of April and the beginning of May 2020, David Icke's Facebook account and YouTube channel were deleted for repeated violations of the terms and conditions of these platforms, especially related to disinformation. As early as February 2020, Icke had indeed linked the coronavirus to 5G technology, which was described there as a "directed energy weapon" designed to "open up the skin of Wuhan's residents to allow the new coronavirus, a biological weapon, to infiltrate more easily." In another video, he suggested that a Jewish organization was behind the coronavirus.
On 25 December 2020, a person named Anthony Warner blew himself up in his car in Nashville (Tennessee), damaging about 50 buildings and causing tens of millions of dollars in property damage. He adhered to several conspiracy theories, including that the world is secretly ruled by reptilians.
Warner said:
"Who will have the guts to stand on a stage and say that reptiles rule the world? Who will do it? Nobody will [...]. Strange but true, reptiles rule the world. People come to me and say they've seen people mostly in positions of power but not always change before their eyes into reptilian humanoid characters and become normal again. You hear that once and you think: wow. And you hear it twice and you go, "Oh my God, what the hell!" And you hear three, four, five in different countries. These nodules on their heads are something that comes back again and again and it seems after drinking human blood, especially the blood of blond, blue-eyed people. This seems to be a very effective way of keeping the mammalian code open.”
